Christmas 2008

Well, we had 3 Christmases this year! On Christmas day (Thursday) we opened Christmas presents from Santa at our house and then went out to my parents (Standefords) for delicious breakfast and present and spending all day with various family members. Then on Saturday we had Christmas at Robyn's parents (Kimballs) with all of the family. All of our Christmases were great- Annika was so good and we had a great time visiting with everyone and just spending time together!

Christmas at our house:

It's Matchbox cars- yea! She had so much fun opening all of her gifts this year.
Santa also brought Annie a baby doll~ Here's Annika kissing her baby~ and you can see her super cute pig-tails.

She thinks it is hilarious to get in my face whenever I have the camera, she wants to smile for the camera, but she is almost always too close to the camera and the pictures come out blurry. Then she wants to see the picture in the display, which leads to wanting to see more pictures that are stored on the camera.

Christmas at the Standefords:
Great Grandma Elda, Annika, and Heather reading a book while waiting for dinner.
Annika's "Cheese" face.

Christmas at the Kimballs:
Cousin Avery and Annie on their tuffets. Annika thinks that those links (which are really for hooking toys together so they don't get lost) are the most beautiful necklaces. We have some at home too and she loves to wear them.

Opening Annika's stocking stuffers. Do I look crowded for room to breath? Because I am! New hair cut by the way! Yea for having control over some part of my body!
Opening musical instruments from Grandma and Grandpa. She loves the jingle bells and when she shakes them she says, "djiggy, djiggy, djiggy" (which is supposed to be, "jinga linga linga ding dong ding" from that Christmas song)
When Annika tore the paper off of her new Noah's Ark she was SOOOO excited! She could not wait for Daddy to get the thing out of the package and was dancing with excitement and signing "please, please!"- it was so cute! Her little dance said: hurry Daddy, hurry!

Sunday:
Playing with her new grocery cart, baby and baby blanket (that Grandma Murray made for her). She is just so darn sweet! She lays out the blanket and then sits on it with her baby- I am teaching her to wrap up her baby and put her into the cart- she almost has it.

We hope you all had a great Christmas, got to spend some time with your families, and of course remember the reason for the season!
