Annie's "Quiet Time" Jib-Jab

Annika has stopped sleeping at nap time so now we call it "quiet time" and she is to stay in there until the designated time to come out. She is doing really well and her rest time actually is enough to help her make it through the day in one piece (and me too). While she is in there she is SOOOOO chatty! Jib-jabbing about who knows what! So today I sat down with a pen & paper outside her door for a few minutes. This is what she was saying. Imagine her high pitched three-year-old voice in rapid-speak mode:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I got him. Oh! I throw him in there. Um-hum. Um-hum. Froggy. I see it. No... no... Um... I love you Froggy. (sing songy) Froggy. Froggy, I love you. Maybe you should be down here. Ya he is. Find him. Daddy will find him. I don't know where he is. Uuuuuuuuh. Here's other Froggy. Mmmmmh-mmmmmh (snuggly noises). There's a Froggy. I don't know where other Froggy is. Um-um. He says, 'um-um'. He wants to go back to sleep. Sposted to be sleeping. THERE HE IS!!!! I found him! He was hiding right there! That silly. Oh. Hippy-hoppy. He wants his mother. There he is. He's hiding under your bed. There he is. You want to look. You gonna hide under there? Oh you are. *giggle* There he is! *giggle* What's going on today? Please I get outta bed? This Froggy gets to be under there. I know where he is. Don't know where blue Froggy is. Um-hum. Um-hum. Happy in there. You wanta play in there? See? Yours. This zips, maybe I try it. It's yours- I made it for you! you can share with this- Ohhhh yeah! Climb in here. Hi. He wants to go pee-pee. He sleep on your lap. You wanta get up? BogeySue, you were in the back yard. This is WhiteBogeySue. You sit down. You need a Froggy... Oh there he is; he was hiding so... There he is, he was hiding under piggy's bed. Was that fun? BogeySue's on here. You're sposed to be in the back yard- there you go. Wanta put those right here? Riiiiiiight here. Yah. I tell you about goats: (... unintelligable non-english babble) *sigh* You huggin him. Here's a hug. You hug lamby. Froggy hug you. You hug Piggy. Ummmmm (hug noise). That one gets hugs. You sit in the hay. You gets to sit with you. Think so."
She went on and on and by the time I sat down to write her words down, she'd already been going for an hour. And then she gets up from "quiet time", has a snack, and does the whole thing over again for play time! Everyday. Ahhhh the life of a three-year-old!
Here is the famous Froggy:
